Stunning Gents Stainless Steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Deepsea Seadweller With D-Blue Dial 116660 James Cameron with box and papers dated 2016. MK1 production investment model, factory sealed and unworn error dial.

This beautiful example of the 116660 Rolex Deepsea has been purchased directly from a private collection and remains completely unworn since new. Factory sealed UK (160) watch orginally purchased from the Midlands based AD Rudell.

As seen in the photos the S on superlative is slightly cut off, making this an 'error dial'. For some collectors, small imperfections on the dial are what makes watches so desirable. Some references were only created in limited numbers, making them highly sought-after and as a result, appreciate over time.

The watch is still covered by Rolex 5 year international warranty, meaning the dial could still be swapped free of charge at Rolex St James square in either case....That we will leave to the buyers discression.

It comes supplied with an original Rolex presentation box (Large), papers (warranty card), manual & swing tag

Our own receipts and guarantee of authenticity will be provided along side.

This ultra-resistant diver's watch was engineered by Rolex to conquest the deep. Waterproof to a depth of 12,800 feet —3,900 meters—, the Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller ref. 116660 D-Blue dial was the perfect release to commemorate James Cameron’s historic solo dive documented on National Geographic’s 'DeepSea Challenge 3D' film. For this particular solo dive, James Cameron was wearing a Rolex Deepsea during his expedition into the Mariana Trench. The model also served as the blueprint for the design of the experimental Rolex Deepsea Challenge, waterproof to a depth of 12,000 meters —39,370 feet— and tested in real-life conditions during Cameron’s dive, affixed to the robotic arm of his submersible.
